General Info

Based in Stonehouse in Gloucestershire, Evergreen Press was begun in the 1980s by John Grice using traditional letterpress. They design and print limited edition books, as well as printing for wood engravers. They work with a selection of fine bookbinders.

Press and Type Info

Evergreen has four presses; a small Albion, an Autovic heavy art platen, a S&B R225 cylinder proof press, and a Fag Swiss proof 40. Until recently there was a very large Britannia 40” x30” hand press, which is now in a museum in Germany.
