Professor Howard Cox

Research Interests

Howard Cox holds a Chair in International Business History at the University of Worcester, UK. Over an academic career of thirty years his writing and research interests have spanned the areas of international business, industrial and corporate change, and the business history of various industries, including publishing, tobacco, alcoholic beverages, and food retailing.  During the past ten years he has collaborated with Dr Simon Mowatt to produce a co-authored business history of the magazine publishing industry in Britain. This was published in 2014 by Oxford University Press under the title Revolutions from Grub Street.  Most recently he has co-authored a commissioned contribution to the History of Oxford University Press which will be published in 2016.
