Printing Historical Society

PHS is a membership organisation founded in 1964 to foster an interest in printing history by encouraging the study of printed products, their design and means of production and their impact on society.  The chief activity of the society is new and original research.  PHS produces a bi-annual journal and the quarterly Printing History News, which is issued jointly with the National Printing Heritage Trust and the Friends of St Bride.

PHS makes a limited number of small grants each year to support research in topics relating to the history of printing and to support the publication of reports on relevant archives.
