Mark Murphy is an Artist, Designer and Musician, based in Birmingham, UK and runs his own independent studio, Surely Creative Design
Seeking out weird and wonderful print from the last 60 years Mark creates both analogue and digital collages that play with graphic composition, juxtaposition, space, scale and surrealism. Sometimes abstract, sometimes figurative, often humorous. He enjoys the chance element involved in making these works, the elements that present themselves, how they combine. Mark works from a shared studio space in Stirchley in the south west of Birmingham, close enough to a chocolate factory to smell flake in the air on a densely cloudy day.
Mark will demonstrating a cut and paste workshop . Come prepared with newspaper/magazines/ cutting mat/card and a knife or scissors. See you there!
Join us for a 20-40 min creative burst of activity and fun at our summer school Show & Tell. After the session, particpants will take a short break away from the screen to complete the task then re-join us in the ZOOM Gallery for a show & tell. All creative enthusiasts and abilities welcome.
